My friends, it is time to stand up and speak the truth. We were lied to by our government, plain and simple. There was no good reason to go to war with Iraq. There were no weapons of mass destruction. The UN weapons inspectors had not been expelled by Sadaam Hussein. Iraq was not a threat to the United States of America. Sadaam was not trying to procure yellowcake from Niger or any other country. He was not in cahoots with Al Qaeda or the Taliban. There was no threat of a “mushroom cloud” over a US city. No Iraqi operatives were on the jets that terrible September morning. ANYONE who tells you different, whether on television, on the radio, in the newspaper, online, or on the street, is lying, just repeating lies they have been told. Lies we all have been told. In the study of ethics it is taught that if you begin with a false premise, all the decisions following that are necessarily false, too. There is no right way to do a wrong thing.

Men and women, boys and girls, are dying everyday in Iraq. They have done everything that has been asked of them. It is time for them to come home. I do not want David to die in Iraq. Over 3,000 of our men and women, boys and girls, have already died. Tens of thousands of Iraqis have died. How much more blood has to be spilled? How many more lives must be snuffed? How many more families have to forever have empty seats at their dinner tables? All for lies.

And don’t think for one minute that the lies stop with Iraq. Iran is the new Iraq. Iran is being demonized by our government’s leaders. Tales of great Iranian support within the Iraqi “insurgency” are just as false as the warnings of a mushroom cloud were four years ago. Please, for the sake of the world, do not fall victim to these new batches of lies. Check international news sites on the internet. You’ll find much more truth there than you will in our own media.

Our leaders have shown themselves to be warmongers, and our media have shown themselves to be simple pawns, willing participants in distributing the propaganda that is spoon-fed to them by the White House. We, the people of the United States, are losing the rights we were granted by the Constitution, that our own forefathers fought and died for. Our wonderful country, the United States of America, is changing from a republic to a monarchy. Again, all for lies.
